Production techniques:
PRUNING: Remove any new vigorous shoots during the picking
season to allow better light penetration in the canopy and
better fruit color. Summer pruning the trees after picking
is completed will improve the quality of the branches for
the next year. However, this pruning should not be too severe
at the same time irrigation should be reduced to avoid secondary
shoot growth.
FRUIT THINNING: Although fruit set is high it is better to
leave some fruit on the trees making each new picking a little
easier.
