Planasa
began cultivating and growing garlic plants from seeds in 1991.
We improved the quantity and quality of the yields using our experience
of "in vitro" cultures and selection methods. Since then
we have developed new varieties of seeds that are strong, healthy
and virus free of the diseases that previously caused crops of inferior
quality.
Planasa's
research and development department has worked with local farmers
to produce crops that have shown more than 30% improvement in yield
and quality. The varieties of garlic produced by Planasa
meet all the criteria of a demanding market in the areas of shape,
taste, texture and consistency. The handling easiness of the manipulation
process leads to lower labor costs. So much in red as in white,
we have varieties available for the farmers that look for earliness,
yield and quality.
