| Plant:
Vigorous and compact, green leaves not very intense on the upper side.
Good superficial root that is resistant to certain ground pathogens.
Flowers:
At the same level as the foliage or slightly above it, depending
on the growing cycle, with single stalks in early flowering. Very
good pollen quality.
Fruit:
The fruit is very pleasing to the eye; it is conic in shape and
has a brilliant red colour. It has good apical pollination and does
not easily deform due to the cold or bad fertilisation. The size
of the fruit is medium-large. It maintains good sizes, which are
not excessive, until the end of the harvest period. Its skin has
good elasticity, and holds its turgescence even after the cold process,
together with a hard pulp that enables long conservation periods.
The achenes are located at surface level. The pulp is red, consistent
and aromatic, with high sugar levels. Its flavour and aroma are
intense and have a good balance between sugar and acidity.
Harvesting:
Early maturity similar to that of the Tudla variety, and, as with
the latter, it prefers plantations from mid-October onwards. It
is easy to pick as the fruit stands out from the plant's foliage
despite the fact that the plant is quite compact.
Agronomic
characteristics: Placartfre is a vigorous variety whose plantation
area for fresh planting must be between 25 and 30 cm. It has good
superficial root that regenerates easily, which means that it adapts
well to different types of ground.
With this variety, it is important not to create excessive foliage,
as this may impede ventilation and harvesting. This variety has
also shown itself to be quite resistant to Botrytis and Oidium.
