Variety: Cegnidarem*.

Origin: Cross Sel. Nº 86-096 x Sel. Nº 86-037.

Selected in the experimental nurseries of PLANASA en Cartaya (Huelva) Spain.

Plant Breeder: Plantas de Navarra S.A., PLANASA, Spain.

Plant: This plant is vigorous and perpetual, with medium size leaves of a medium green colour. It grows in a globe shape and the flowering, semi-erect at the level of the foliage mass, is abundant during the production cycle.

Fruit: The size of the fruit is medium-large and is conical in shape. The pulp is pale, consistent and slightly acidic. The skin has a brilliant red colour and is very resistant to harvesting and transport.

Harvesting: Very early and sustained during the production season.

Agronomic characteristics: Cegnidarem is a perpetual variety with high production levels, which is why it requires additional cold before planting. In early planting, with high initial forcing, soils must be well fertilised and/or disinfected in order to obtain production that is as sustained as possible, given its productivity.
