Planasa has destined a major part of its R&D resources to developing new varieties using selection breeding.
We have four research centres distributed around the world, and Planasa also has development centres for carrying out observation and experiments of new varieties distributed in different climatic areas near the fruit production centres.
Our R&D department works to offer producers varieties that adapt to their productive and business needs, enabling them to extend their harvesting seasons, avoiding peaks and drops in production, so that, at the same time, consumers can access quality crops all year round.
The results are protected by vegetable variety breeders’ rights.
