
Variety: Cegnidarem*.
Origin: Cross between selection n.1 86096 x sel. n.1 86-037. Selected in the experimental field of PLANASA in Cartaya (Huelva), Spain. Bred and registered by Planasa - Inotalis. EU 1845 (10-03-97)
Plant: Day neutral, this variety shows good vigour, medium green colour and medium size. Globose habit and semi erect flowering level with abundant foliage in the productive cycle.
Flower: Generally flowers are at foliar level, but this not a constant characteristic due to the day neutral condition of the variety.
Fruit: Fruit calibre is medium-large with conical shape. The pulp is pale red, firm and slightly acidic. Skin is bright red with good resistance to post harvest handling and transport.
Harvesting: Very early and uniform during production season.
Agronomical characteristics: Cegnidarem is a day-neutral variety of high yield requiring additional chilling before planting in early plantations it is recommended to fertilize and disinfect the soil to achieve good production throughout the season.
This variety needs a great amount of fertilization all thorough the campaign in order to achieve its production potential.
