Variety: Diana

Origin:
obtained from the natural crossing of two Inotalis varieties. Selected at the Darbonne experimental fields at Le Barp (France). Bred and registered by Darbonne - Inotalis. EU 1481 (06-07-06)

Plant: Medium vigour and foliar volume. Erected plant with a foliage that is dark green and embossed. Plants of Diana have a medium tolerance to oidium (mildium) on leaves. There have been no symptoms observed in fruits so far. Diana has a chilling requirement of 1.000 hours under +7ºC.
 
Flowers: Very green calyx, easy to separate form the fruit; fresh and attractive.
Flowers are levelled with foliage or slightly above it.


Fruit:
Long conical shaped and very homogeneous. Bright red brilliant colour.
Achenes are somehow embedded.  Resistant skin, firm flesh. Good gustative quality. Fruit calibre is homogeneous and medium. Very good conservation, the fruits darken a little, but remain brilliant. Harvest: Very easy to pick; the peduncles are long and separated from the foliage. Peduncle breaks easily during harvest. Production is high, especially for an early variety. It products a great percentage of first class fruit.

Agronomical characteristics:
Depending on the production type, it may act as a day neutral variety
Good adaptation to hydroponics production systems as tray plant and fresh plugs. It also adapts well to cultivation on soil under tunnel with frigo plants.

INOTALIS develops all varieties with no use of genetic modification techniques.
