PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES
Regular pruning: Choosing high quality flowering shoot is easy due to the growth habit of the trees. Remove any new vigorous shoots during the picking season to allow better light penetration in the canopy and better fruit colour. Summer pruning the trees after harvest will improve the quality of the fruiting branches for the next year. However, this pruning should not be too severe at the same time irrigation should be reduced to avoid secondary shoot growth.
Fruit thinning: Must be aggressive due to the high fruit set of this variety. It is important not to delay the thinning date.
