Production techniques:
Regular pruning: Choosing high quality flowering shoot is easy due to the growth habit of the trees.
Remove any new vigorous shoots during pruning to allow better light penetration in the canopy.
A small summer pruning of the trees after harvest (not very severe) will improve the quality of the fruiting branches for the next year. Irrigation should be reduced at the same time to avoid secondary shoot growth.
Fruit thinning: It should be intense, due to the great amount of fruit set.
