  • The size of the fruit is medium-large conical elongated with red flesh, consistent and slightly acidic.
  • The skin is bright dark red and homogeneous.
  • Good resistance to harvesting and transport.

Plant.

  • Very remontant, it is a vigorous plant with large leaves and shiny dark green tonality.
  • Very productive.
  • The growth is globose, and the flowering is semi-erect above the leaf mass.
  • Medium-large flowers with well-developed anthers and rich in pollen.
  • The floral bouquets are long and do not branch excessively, which allows an acceptable homogeneity of calibres and good exposure of the fruit.

Production.

  • In summer plantations with cold plant, or motta at the end of summer, good productions of October-December and very good production can be obtained in the upwind of April-May.

 

Recommendations.

  • Recommended planting frame not less than 30- 35 cm in soil.
  • In hydroponics and out-of-soil cultivation, this framework can be ostensibly reduced depending on systems and substrates.
  • In summer planting, it is advisable to use multi-tunnels and even out-of-soil cultivation in high bags.
  • Earlier planting and pruning produce higher flowering, with the consequent reduction in calibres.

  • Very homogeneous fruits, low loss rate.

Plant.

  • Vigorous plant.
  • Erected plant with an aerate basis.
  • Long and solid floral scapes.
  • Tolerant to powdery mildew on the foliage but a bit sensitive to powdery mildew on fruits (more tolerant than Gariguette and Cléry).

 

Recommendations.

  • Do not over-irrigate, low irrigation requirement (-30 % than Elsanta or Darselect), especially during the harvest.
  • Fertilisation: lower EC than Elsanta with less frequencies.
  • In fresh TP plantation in December: chilling hours requirement of 650 – 750 h.
  • In frigo TP (programmed plantation): do not over-irrigate.
  • In frigo plants: can have until 1 000 hours of chill, must be the first variety to be put under plastics.
  • Harvest every 2 – 3 days.
  • To improve the skin resistance, have a low EC in production (1.3 – 1.4 mS max).
